Purpose of the Job:

The hot line operator will be responsible for receiving calls, give advice as appropriate to complaints; referring cases and keep records of complaints.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receiving complaints brought in perosn, through telephone, email and any other means;
• Giving legal advice and counseling to complainants;
• keeping record of, documenting and archiving complaints brought to the commission;
• Referring cases to staff, MONID head and relevant departments as appropriate;
• Facilitating follow up of case progress;
• Refer cases to appropriate institutions and manage partnerships and relationships with stakeholders;
• Contribute to the development and improvement of the complaint management system in the commission by identifying and suggesting the development tools, processes and methods;
• Under the supervision of her/his supervisor carryout all other related tasks associated with the position.

Salary Range: Gross monthly salary of ETB 22,989.00- ETB 27,380.00 plus ETB 7,200.00 Housing allowance and ETB 2,200.00 Transport allowance, depending on candidates qualification, experience and earning history

DURATION: Open/Indefinite contract

Qualifications and Experience:

• BA/ MA in Law, Human Rights Law, International Law.
• 4 years of relevant experience for BA and 2 years of relevant experience for MA
• Computer literate
•  Knowledge of Amharic and English is required, Knowledge of other local languages is advantageous.
